This morning, Lauren and John talked about Adele's recent drama with her dad, via-Vogue magazine. Apparently, the singer says she will "spit" in her dad's face if they ever meet again. Her father left the family when Adele was 3, so one can understand her feelings.

Thanks for ridin' along with us this morning on the Magic Morning Show! We covered everything from Lauren's new rock-hard abs (workout, much?), to a list of the "hottest" celebs, according to USA Today.
Many were listed, and many with merit. Kary Perry topped the list, which John won't argue with. But Lauren's future husband (or stalking victim) wasn't, so we figured we'd just post his finest interview here. Enjoy your Tuesday!

Not an ideal weather day to start our week. Rain. Cold. Tornado threats. Still, we had a good time on the Magic Morning Show.
Lauren and John are still on their workout plans. John is still off the smoking habit.
Yet, Lauren walks down the hall this morning. Compliment from a co-worker? Nope. Said employee asks "what kind of shoes are you wearing?" Lauren says: "running shoes". Co-worker said, with a strange look on face: "you run?!"
Yay for saying awkward things!

We had a great week on the Magic Morning Show.
The great Mike Birbiglia, comic and best-selling author, gave us 10 good minutes of radio. We continued to discuss our quest for better health. (Lauren is working out twice a day, while John is starting to feel his age after a week at the gym).
Plus: lot of sizzle in the news that we covered, and we evern managed to play the most music a morning show possibly can.
Join us tonight for the "Main Event" on Scene on 7. That airs on News Channel 7 at 7:30 pm. We will do our best to make it respectable :)

We had a blast with y'all today on the Magic Morning Show. Don't get us wrong.
We're just ready for a little weekend action. Lauren's got some big plans, helping out with a local community event that we'll give you more info on tomorrow.
John's planning on cleaning house, painting, and reserving his entire Sunday afternoon for the NFC/AFC title games. (He's picking the 49ers and Ravens to meet in the Super Bowl, if you care)

So, Christmas 2010, a legend was born in the Ellis House. His name: Bernard. His job: Elf on a Shelf.
Pretty cherry gig, right?

So....it looks like the fine folks at foxnews.com has a list of the top-10 "Malls to Avoid" during the holiday season. You think you have it bad in the Upstate....ha! We'll touch on that tomorrow morning.
Plus: somebody that works on the morning show has a little birthday on Tuesday. (Here's a hint: HE will be 31 years old.....ouch).
We'll talk about our awesome night with TSO, and hopefully get your take on how the show was for you--if you were able to go.

It's about to be hump day. Which can only mean one thing......one more day closer to the weekend.
Today, we talked about an 8-year old child in Ohio who was removed from their home, as they were deemed neglected. The child is 200 lbs, and there are medical concerns about this weight at this age. So....is it right for someone to jump in and....well...take this child away?
On a lighter note: we play the MOST Christmas music in the Upstate. Join us tomorrow for more details on our big plans this weekend....(whoooooo.....)

Well....tick tock.....we're 72 hours away from Thanksgiving! And, yes, we want to know....how do you cook them Turkeys?! Deep Fried? In the oven? Sushi, as our boss suggested. (FAIL)

So, while John will be planted on his sofa watching Thursday Night Football, Lauren will--with thousands of others--be attending the new Twilight movie. Not just that, she's going to see....well....all of them. Today.

Well, there's a storm 'a brewin'.....apparently, some 90,000+ employees of a major retailer have petitioned to have Thanksgiving Day off, as this particular store (nationwide) is opening their doors to the public on Midnight on Turkey Day.
With all the unemployment out there, we kinda think there should be a little less of an uproar, and perhaps a little more appreciation for having a gig. But, what we think is only half the story.

We had a great chat with Stewart Spinks in studio today. He'll be inducted into the Convenience Store Industry Hall of Fame tonight. Congrats to one of the best!
As for Tuesday...well...we've already seen a few homes in the area "lit up" for the Holidays. Tell us: too soon? Just right? And how "overboard" do you go with your decorations? Any neighbors...eh....complain?

After much deliberation, Bo decided that he wanted to pursue other things during the week, but unable to completely break away from Magic 98.9 he's just simple moved to help Reggie and Jack out on the Weekends.
Enter stage left.... John Ellis! John is the new guy on the block and we know that you'll make him feel right at home (Lauren already is, she's asked him to clean the studio!)
