All through August we took entries from Magic listeners and we are excited to congratulate our very first teacher for the 2009-2010 school year... September's Teacher Who Makes Magic, Heather Middleton, an art teacher for Chesnee Middle School. Read the nominating letter and see why we found this teacher to be Magic!
“Heather Middleton is a very dear friend of mine and though I have not witnessed her in the classroom, I know she is the best art teacher out there! She is bright, bubbly, determined, friendly, self-sacrificing, fun, creative and talented. I remember when she was going through school (she got married to her high school sweetheart at 19) and she was working 40 hours a week while obtaining her degree. As soon as she graduated, she got the job in Chesnee. She was so determined…it just blows me away! I still don’t know how she went to school and worked full-time. All I know, is this is the perfect profession for her and she LOVES it! She’s always talking about how proud she is of her kids. Heather now has a 5-month-old precious daughter named Ansley. She is a super mom and wonderful teacher. I truly believe this woman makes magic in the lives of her students daily, just as she does in the lives of her family and friends.“
