In this day in time, most people are about being productive. Getting up, getting out and getting things done. It’s hard for them to sit around and do nothing, they always have to be doing something. Then there are the others, they will take every opportunity to do nothing, lay around, be lazy and relax. Well, I’m the latter. If I can put it off till tomorrow, I will. Procrastination is one of my worse traits.
Recently, I had to cut the grass in my backyard, it was for the first time this Spring. Between my schedule, the weather and my procrastination, the grass had gotten to almost 5' tall and very thick. My riding mower was not functioning and needed repair so, I had no choice but to tackle this task with my push mower. What would normally take 45 minutes to an hour to cut with my push mower, took almost 5 hours over two days.
Most tasks become worse if you don't tackle them immediately. So, it doesn't matter how much you just don't want to, or don’t feel like doing something at that time. Take my advice, it's better to just get up and get it done. You will feel better about what you've accomplished plus, you will have truly earned the right to do nothing, because there's nothing to do. Remember, procrastination is not your friend.
